The charge was led by quarterback Jose Blankenship who was 11 for 18 for 156 yards and 3 touchdown passes. Two of those were to Marquez Brown and the other to Joshua Shantz. Oak was down 13 -6 in the second quarter before the Blankenship – Brown combo struck twice before halftime. In the second half, the running game took over with Lance McClendon rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown, and Zachary Gonzales running for 21 yards and a touchdown.
The defense came up big with Matt Gryder making an interception and Jacob Weaver making a fumble recovery. Francisco Romero and Cory Baker were leading tacklers. There were many other great tackles, but those darn yellow numbers on the white jerseys make it hard to give credit where credit is due.
