Season Comes to an End with Heartbreaking Loss to Copperas Cove
After an awesome regular
season, albeit rough start due to two hurricanes, and three playoff
wins, earning the Panthers a trip to the quarter final game in
Corsicana, the Panthers couldn't overcome the Copperas Cove
Bulldawgs. Battered by injury, the Panthers made a valiant
effort but came up short Saturday night. While it is hard to
lose at any point in the playoffs, the Panthers can be proud of the
fact that of all the 5A football teams in Division II, in the state
of Texas, they are among the top eight teams. That is a
remarkable accomplishment. We are proud of the 2008 Panthers
and all that they have accomplished this season!
REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

Wildcats 34 - 10
Advance to Round 4 of the Playoffs
The passing game made the
difference! After a 7 - 7 first half tie, Quarterback, Andy
Wilson, opened it up and threw the ball, resulting in 4 touchdowns
in the second half to win the game 34 - 10. The defense played
a remarkable game allowing the Wildcats only 10 points. They
were responsible for a number of "take-aways" giving the offense a
chance to put points on the board.
