Aaron’s best memories on the field in his seven-year career
are defeating the nationally ranked Woodlands team his junior year and winning
the District Championship with the JV team his sophomore year. He credits his
parents as his biggest influence for instilling in him the drive to do his best.
His immediate goal is to attend college where he would like to continue playing
football.

Alex has played football for four years. He enjoys those aspects of football
that create good discipline, keep you in shape, and create life-long friends.
Alex’s best football moment was intercepting a pass and returning it for a
touchdown to win the game. He also plays lacrosse and would like to attend
Middlebury College.
Andrew Yost #46Kicker • 5’10" 150 - Junior

Andy is a first year player for Oak. He really enjoys kicking field goals and
hopes to make a 60 yard one - he just doesn’t like to wear pads. He also plays
soccer for Oak, enjoys fly fishing and racing cars and is a member of the French
Club. He credits his parents for being a great influence and for Mrs. Marek for
showing him that he can accomplish anything with hard work. He plans to go to
college and pursue a Masters in Chemical Engineering.
Avery has played football for 6 years. He most remembers the
game in which he scored 6 touchdowns. He loves this game and the action he gets
on the field. Outside of football, Avery enjoys playing basketball. He
acknowledges his parents for pushing him to succeed and his younger brother for
always trying hard. Following high school, Avery would like to continue playing
football for a Division I college.
Beau has played football for 6 years. His most memorable
football moment was the 8th grade game in which he scored 4 touchdowns. Beau enjoys the physical challenge
of the game – giving everything you’ve got for 4 quarters. With a goal of
studying criminology and psychology, Beau would like to attend Sam Houston State
or Southwest Texas State after high school.
Brandon has played football for 7 years and will always
remember the time Walter Saenz knocked out "Trio"! Off the field Brandon enjoys
running track and "hanging out with friends". He credits his parents as his
biggest influence for pushing him to always do his best. Following graduation at
Klein Oak, Brandon would like to study engineering.
This is Brandon’s 5th year to play football. Scoring his very first touchdown in middle school is his
fondest football memory. Brandon’s favorite aspect of the game is "Friday night
football" and all the glory that comes with it. Brandon also pole vaults for the
track team and enjoys a good steak and lobster dinner. After high school,
Brandon would like to study Building Design at The University of Texas in
Arlington.
Brandon Wilson #72 Offensive Line • 5’11" • 300 - Senior 2002
Brandon has played football for 6 years. He fondly recalls
The Woodlands defeat during his junior year as a personal highlight. Brandon
enjoys the physical aspect of the game and the self-confidence it generates. He
likes to play video games and mess around with anything car-related. Brandon’s
thankful for the support of his mother and the sacrifices she has made on his
behalf. While Brandon finds Coach Poth to be a "slave driver", he has also taught
him that "persistence pays off".
Having played football for 4 years, Brett fondly recalls
defeating Conroe 46-6 during his freshman year at Oak. He loves the excitement
of the game and would most like to beat Westfield and The Woodlands this year.
Brett enjoys spending free time working out in the weight room at home watching
music videos. He acknowledges his coaches for pushing him to work hard and his
dad for "working harder than anyone I know".
Brian Carlson #82 Tight End • 6’5" •
225 - Senior 2002
This is Brian’s first year to play football and he already
sees the benefits of the work ethic it commands. Brian also plays basketball and
says that participating in sports is his favorite thing at Klein Oak. He plans
to attend college at The University of Texas.
Bryce has been playing ball for 8 years. He counts the three
Superbowl Championships he won as a Klein Oiler as his favorite football memory.
In addition to the physical aspect of the game, Bryce enjoys the discipline,
team-work and conditioning the game offers. He credits his faith and his friends
as his biggest personal influences. Off the field, Bryce enjoys girls, cars and
drawing. After high school, Bryce would like to continue playing college
football where he plans to study Architecture.
A seasoned player, Bubba most remembers making the goal line
tackle to stop Klein High School from scoring during the District Championship
of his freshman year. He has come to appreciate the work ethic and values
football teaches both on and off the field. Bubba likes to play basketball and
is a little league football coach. He plans to attend college after Oak.
Casey has played football since seventh grade. He enjoys covering the
receivers on deep passes and really wants to beat Klein Collins this year. Casey
also enjoys playing baseball for Oak and eating lots of Taco Bell. After high
school, Casey hopes to attend a Texas college and pursue a degree in
architecture.
Chris cites the determination as a positive aspect of football. His best
memory of the game was intercepting a pass against Tomball while he played on
the Klein Oak JV team. He has played football for six years and also enjoys
weightlifting and Student Council. He plans to attend Texas A&M University.
Chris Hazzan #89/53 Tight End • 6’3"

Chris is an offensive player who loves the physical nature of
the game and the friendships it has generated. He credits his faith and his
friends for his inspiration. Off the field, you’ll find Chris on the basketball
court. After graduation, Chris would like to attend Southwest Texas State where
he plans to study Law.
Cody’s best football memory in the six years he’s played was
running down a Tomball ball carrier 60 yards and stopping him on the 2 yard
line. Cody cites his parents as his biggest influence and credits football for
teaching him discipline and the importance of priorities. He plans to attend
college after leaving Klein Oak.
Craig has played football since 7th grade. He enjoys the physical contact that comes with the game and how it helps
to improve leadership skills. Off the field you’ll find Craig involved in
theatre and the dramatic arts. His brother and mother have been his biggest
personal influence. His brother, for helping him grow up, and his mother, for
making him do his homework. After high school, Craig would like to continue
playing football in college.
Dan Cunningham #28 Defensive Back •

Dan likes the discipline taught by the game and is in his seventh year as a
player. Outside of football he enjoys baseball and wrestling. Dan’s biggest
influence is his dad who "taught me everything". Dan plans to attend college
where he would like to study marine biology and continue his sports career.
Derrick Brown #22 Running

Derrick has played football for 10 years and his high
school career has yielded a number of awards and recognition including: Dave
Campbell 1st Super Prep Team, All-District 1st Team, All Greater Houston, All Underclassmen and All State. Derrick cites his
parents and faith as the biggest influences in his life. He has orally committed
to play football at Texas A&M University.
Dustin has been playing football for 2 years. His
favorite part of the game is running the ball and hopefully carrying it to the
end zone. His biggest personal influence is his grandfather. Dustin also
enjoys playing baseball for Oak. In addition to cars, he enjoys spending time
with his friends.
Dylan has been a football player since 4th grade where his best memory is blocking the winning punt in the Klein Oilers
Superbowl game. His favorite part of the game of football is playing on Friday
nights and considers it the most rewarding sport. Dylan plans to attend college
following graduation.
Eric Wendt #61 Defensive End • 6’2"

Eric has played football since middle school. Beating Klein
High his junior year in the last 30 seconds of the game with a field goal was a
highlight for him. Eric most enjoys all the hype that comes before each game –
especially the pre-game meal. Other interests include surfing and the homerun
derby. He appreciates his mother for how hard she works, but still finds time to
make his lunch everyday, and Tim Brown for letting him know you can "jack
around" and still be smart.

This is Gerry’s first year playing football. He states that he really likes
kicking and making tackles for the team. Gerry also plays soccer for Klein Oak
and hopes to go to college on a soccer scholarship.
Grant Campbell #64/88 Offensive Line

Grant has been playing football for 8 years. He received All-District
Honorable Mention during his sophomore year. Grant enjoys the sense of
accomplishment the game of football gives him. Other interests include playing
baseball and hangin’ out with his friends. He appreciates the work ethic Coach
Poth instills and how it has made him a better player. Grant’s biggest personal
influence is his dad, for always being there.
Ike Nwanze #7 Defensive Back • 5’9" • 145 - Senior

Ike has 7 years experience on the gridiron and recalls the
state championship during the 7-on-7 summer series as a favorite football
moment. He’s grateful for the positive influence his older brother, Ellis, has
provided, as well as that of Coach Thibodeaux. Ike enjoys playing basketball,
girls and lunch at Klein Oak. He would like to attend The University of Texas
where he will major in Business.
Jacob Kugler #23 Defensive Back •

Jacob has been playing organized football for six years. He
enjoys the game of football and how it generates friendships and reinforces
lifelong values. Along with his faith, Jacob credits his teacher, Mr. Baxter for
the strong, positive influence each have had in his life. Jacob plans to attend
college where he expects to pursue a career in law enforcement.

In nine years as a player, James’ best football memory was
returning a fumble for a touchdown to win the AAYF Superbowl as a Klein Oiler in
5th grade.
His other school interests include Student Council and lacrosse and he also
enjoys hunting, fishing and golf. James plans to attend college in Texas after
graduating from KOHS.
Jared says the most positive aspect of football is learning that hard work
and practice pay-off on game day. His other school interests include track,
basketball, Academic Decathlon, Astronomy and Science Club. He would like to
play ball while attending college at Texas Christian University where he plans
to study astrophysics working toward a goal of working at NASA.

Jared has two district championships under his belt dating back
to his freshman and sophomore years. He has played football for 7 years through
which he has learned discipline and the basics of good fitness. Jared enjoys
cars, computers, games and girls. He credits his parents for his success and

Jeff has played football for over a decade. He enjoys the
competitive nature of the game and how it prepares you for life off the field.
An interception in a 7th grade game is something Jeff will always remember. He enjoys working with
computers and "hanging out with friends". Jeff is grateful for the continued
support his parents, and for Ms. Anzuldua — "one of the nicest people he knows".
Jeff plans to attend Texas Tech and major in History.

Joe is a seven-year player whose favorite part of the game is
hitting. His best football memory is knocking an opponent’s helmet off. Joe
hopes to play football next season while attending Texas A&M University. Outside
of football Joe enjoys hunting and fishing.

John has played
football since seventh grade and enjoys the competitive nature of the game. It
has taught him discipline, dedication, and good work ethics. John’s best
football memory was during his junior year when he carried the ball 4 times for
36 yards against Conroe High. John likes to hunt and fish and is also a member
of the KOHS track team. John appreciates his mother for "keeping him in line".
Following graduation, John would like to attend Texas A&M University where he
will study Wildlife Management.

Jon is a three year letterman in football and was named
"Receiver of the Year" his sophomore year. His biggest influences are his
parents for their continued support and for motivating him to strive for
excellence. His academic influences include the KOHS coaching staff where they
teach not only the game of football, but about things you need to know to be
successful in life. His future plans include playing football in college while
studying education or business.
Jon is a three year letterman in football and was named
"Receiver of the Year" his sophomore year. His biggest influences are his

best memory of the game was recovering a fumble and returning it 85 yards for a
touchdown. In addition to cars, girls and lunch period at Klein Oak, Josh enjoys
all aspects of "Friday night football". He credits his family for their strong,
positive influence and plans to continue his education at a Division 1 or
Division 2 school.
Justin Stewart #5 Receiver • 5’11" •
145 - Senior
Playing football for six years, Justin enjoys the excitement and discipline
of the game. He’s grateful for the role his dad has played in his athletic
career – it’s made him a better athlete. Off the field, Justin enjoys going to
the movies, playing computer games and being with his friends. After graduation,
Justin plans to pursue a career in computer technology.
Kenny Roberts #26 Defensive Back •

A seasoned player, Kenny enjoys all aspects of the game and
being a part of the "football family". Kenny credits Coach Thibodeaux with
instilling in him the notion to always strive for excellence and never give up.
He would like to continue playing football in college where he plans to study
law and meet some "good looking women".
Kurt ‘s athletic recognitions include: Pre-Season All-Houston
Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Year, Dave Campbell’s 2nd Offensive Super Prep Team, and returning All-Houston unanimous selection. Kurt
notes his parents as his biggest influence for always pointing him in the right
direction. Kurt recalls the 36-6 defeat of The Woodlands High School in his
junior year as very sweet. As of this printing, he has orally committed to play
football at Texas A&M University.
Kurt Ware #34 Defensive End/Tight
End • 6’5" • 250 - Senior 2002-2003
Kurt has played football since third grade. The thrill of the game for him is
making an opponent look bad on the field. Kurt enjoys breaking records, playing
hard and winning big. Outside of football, you’ll find Kurt shooting hoops on
the basketball court. He’s grateful for the support of his family and for his
personal drive to always do the right thing. Kurt would like to attend Florida
or Florida State where he would also like to continue playing ball.
This is Layne’s fifth year to play football, but his first at Oak - he played
for the Rams and for Strack. Layne’s goal this season is to kick a field goal.
He is thankful that he has Ashley Quinn ad a friend because she is always there
when you need her and credits Mr. Lowry with giving him motivational talks.
Layne plans to continue his studies at Texas Tech in Hotel/Restaurant
Management.
Lindsey has been playing ball for five years and recalls the
Klein Bronco Senior Year Super Bowl as his best football memory. Outside of
football his interests include drafting and teaching swimming. Lindsey plans to
attend college and possibly join the Air Force after graduation from Oak.
Mike Colschen #35 Linebacker • 5’11"
• 190 - Senior
Michael is in his tenth year as a football player dating back
to his time spent with the Klein Oilers. His best football memory is defeating
The Woodlands 36-6 last year and wants most to accomplish a play-off berth this
year. His biggest personal influence is his brother and his school influences
are his teammates. He plans to play football in college.
Mil Zeno #16 Running Back • 6’1" •
175 - Senior 2002-2003
New to Klein Oak this year, Mil loves the excitement and
competition of football. Throwing 4 touchdown passes in a game against Spring
High School is a highlight he’ll never forget. When he’s not playing football,
Mil plays basketball, runs track and loves computers. He plans to attend college
(preferably Michigan) where he will study Computer Science. Mil’s biggest
personal influence is his mother, who’s raised him and his 2 brothers. He also
acknowledges Coach Woddy from Westfield High School for pushing him to never
give up.
Nate has been playing football for nine years and was recognized as an All
District Cornerback in 2001. Nate looks forward to beating Klein and The
Woodlands this year. He states that Oak football has given him his best friends
he will ever have. He would like to thank his parents for always being
supportive of him. Nate plans on continuing his football career in college.
Finally, Nate would like to state that the "Class of 2003 Rules
This is Mundo’s first year to play football and he really enjoys it when the
Strutters call his name. He is a member of the Oak Soccer team and would like to
impart the fact that "a football is heavier than a soccer ball." Mundo credits
his mom for always being there and loving him no matter what. He plans to attend
Washington or Texas and pursue a degree in education.
Robert Dorris #4 Defensive Back •
5’10" • 170 - Senior 2002-2003
Robert is in his tenth year of playing football and most
enjoys the intensity of the game and the character it builds. He is on the swim
team and track team and coaches little league football and baseball. He would
like to continue playing football in college where he plans to study
architectural engineering and design.
Ronald Perry #60 Offensive
Line/Fullback • 6’1" • 225 - Senior 2002-2003
Ronnie has been a football player for several years. With the
exception of practice, he enjoys all aspects of the game and most remembers the
day he played in the Astrodome. Ronnie has come to appreciate and enjoy the
influence of his parents and the friendship of teammate, Seth Brodrick.
Following graduation, he would like to attend The University of Texas and study
business.
Ruben began playing football while attending Hildebrandt and
considers his first quarterback sack his most memorable moment. Outside of
football he enjoys cars and playing basketball. Ruben considers his uncle as his
biggest personal influence for teaching him he could do whatever he wanted, but
to always finish and never give up. Following graduation, Ruben would like to
attend Texas A&M University where he will study engineering.
Sean Campbell #8 Tight End • 6’1" •
185 - Senior 2002-2003
Sean has played football for 4 years. He enjoys the game and
the friendships it has generated. Off the field, Sean enjoys playing video
games. He credits his faith and his coaches for the guidance they have provided.
Seth has played football for seven years and prefers "game
days" over practice. After graduating from Klein Oak, he would like attend
Brigham Young or The University of Texas and then serve a two-year mission.
Seth’s best football memory was during his sophomore year when he had 24 yards
on two carries during a game against Westfield High School. One positive aspect
of the game for Seth is that "chicks dig ball players".
Sterling has been playing football for two years at Oak and has learned that
"everyone is equal no matter how big or small - we are a team." He states that
his big brother has helped him achieve a positive attitude and credits the Oak
Coaching staff for pushing him physically, mentally and academically. He plans
on attending college and eventually pursuing a real estate career.
Tor’s best football memory is the first day in pads. He likes
the game because it builds character both as an athlete and a person. Tor is
also involved in basketball, swimming, track, P.A.W.E.D. and the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes. His future plans include the pursuit of a medical degree.
Travis is a seven-year player who likes the responsibility
football teaches and the friendships it generates. His other interests include
reading, writing, drawing, playing guitar and the Breakfast Club at Klein Oak.
He plans to attend The University of Texas to study architecture and further
pursue a master’s degree in Business.
Tremayne has played football since the first grade. His
strong love of the game has helped him become more disciplined and focused in
everyday life. When he’s not playing football, Tremayne enjoys running track and
hangin’ out with family and friends. The principal influence in Tremayne’s life
has been his mother, a few teachers, and his strong belief in his faith. After
high school, Tremayne would like to attend The University of Texas where he
would like to study animation and engineering.
Tristan has played football for eight years and really likes
the experience it has provided him. He enjoys all aspects of the game, but
hitting is his favorite. He enjoys hangin’ with his brother who has been his
biggest personal influence. Tristan’s favorite thing about school is finally
reaching the "end of the week" and knowing the weekend is right around the
corner. Following graduation from Oak, Tristan plans to attend college.
