Panther ‘D’ is stingy on the next series. Excellent D again by Oak on this series; Baratti and senior CB Trey Payne score open field tackles, Dashone Smith sophomore DB breaks up a pass followed by a HUGE sack by senior DE Tom Call and senior LB William Gardner forcing CW to punt.
Oak offense puts an excellent drive together moving the ball affectively picking up several first downs along the way. Senior TE Brandon McClain makes a couple excellent in traffic receptions, Wilson runs for big yardage behind Bottoms and Flores plus Williams picks up 15 yards on the quick trap. Oak is collecting first downs, controlling the clock and is fix’in to score ……… protection is busted and a loose ball is recovered by CW. Two fumbles and two punts lead to scores for CW. Midway into the 4th quarter CW bumps the score to 56 – 21. Panthers do record a safety when Jones gets a QB sack in the end zone making the score 56 – 23 and time runs out.
